Boiler, Fitting, or Radiator is leaking
Boiler leaks are a very serious problem, which needs to be addressed by an experienced and licensed boiler repair contractor. On the surface, leaks may appear to be a minor nuisance, causing staining and a wet floor; however, the reality is likely much more severe. Leaks may come from valves, pumps, seals, fittings, or pipes, and could be a precursor to a catastrophic failure. Over time, if leaks that pose no immediate danger are not addressed, they may cause potentially dangerous corrosion and lead to serious system failure down the road. Protect your central heating investment with preventive maintenance, and ensure that an experienced and licensed boiler service technician repairs any leaks immediately.
Boiler is not producing hot water
A boiler’s main purpose is to produce hot water. Because a vast number of problems may cause a boiler to not yield hot water, it is important that an experienced and licensed boiler repair contractor troubleshoot the problem. Due to the high number of possibilities that might be causing your boiler to not produce hot water, an inexperienced boiler repair contractor will spend a long (and expensive) time troubleshooting the issue. It’s also common for inexperienced boiler repair contractors to replace components that are not faulty during the troubleshooting process. Having your boiler serviced by an experienced and licensed boiler repair contractor is the best way to protect your investment, minimizing downtime, while not breaking the bank.
Cross Connection is occurring
Cross-connection is the act of water moving in an undesirable (reverse) direction. Boilers come with special equipment that prevents cross-connection. If this equipment is faulty, the resulting backflow may produce unsanitary conditions, cause damage to equipment, and/or decrease the economic and environmental efficiency of your boiler equipment. A simple indication that you may have a cross-connection problem with your boiler is if a waterline, which should be cold, is warm or hot. Backflow prevention devices are sophisticated and should be serviced by a certified boiler repair technician.
